Giannis Antetokounmpo expects big things from top talent Victor Wembanyama as he prepares for the NBA next year

Currently most of the NBA stars and experts are talking about the next year’s projected No.1 Draft pick Victor Wembanyama and his development as a player over the years. The French big man is considered a generational talent and is easily one of the most hyped European talents at the moment.

Over the years we have seen the rise of European talents which has seen players like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Ruydy Gobert, Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic and many more. And now with Victor Wembanyama the league is all set to be taken by surprise. Speaking about the Frenchman, Giannis Anteotkounmpo feels that he will go a very long way as he has been following him for many years.

“I had the chance to watch him play in 2021,” shared the Greek Freak. “He’s incredible man. I believe in 2045, everyone is going to look like Victor.”

Many people believe that the French big man will be the top draft pick next season despite having plenty of talented youngsters in next year’s draft class. But considering his height, wingspan and ability to drop down threes and at the same time pull off top notch blocks.

Apart from Wembanyama, Scoot Henderson is another player who has gained some recognition but most people have shared that despite Henserson’s elite playmaking abilities, Wembanyama has to be the blue eyed boy for the NBA teams at next year’s Draft Day.

Giannis shared how Wembanyama needs to take care of his health and keep improving as he believes that he can be a unique player with his physical and technical prowess. “For him, the key is to just keep getting better, keep staying humble and stay healthy. A body like that with a skillset like that, as long as he stays healthy, he’s going to keep improving, keep enjoying the game as much as he can,” the Greek Freak shared.

The former NBA Champion and two time MVP believes strongly that the French big man has everything that is needed to flourish in the NBA. It looks like Wembanyama is surely going to be one of those generational talents to grace the NBA next season.
