Giannis leads Bucks as they Defeat Thunder

The Milwaukee Bucks have continued their domination as they beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 133-86, making it their highest margin over the season, with 47-point difference and by doing so, they have tied the record for wins above 40 in a season with 3, so far.

This would also be their fifth straight win since the NBA All-star game. MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo led his team to victory with 32 points and 13 rebounds, spending only 27 minutes on the court.

The Bucks led at the end of every quarter and by the fourth quarter, they made 26 points while their opponent had just 17. Speaking after the game, Giannis expressed how good it was to see other players work hard and put in their best, as he also said “Everyone is smiling. Games like these are always the best games.” He also pointed out how ready they were for the game and how they maintained their energy till the fourth quarter, without relenting in any way.

At every point in the game, the Bucks led by a wide margin, so that by the end of the second quarter, the score line was 70-47. At some point, the coach of the Bucks, Mike Budenholzer, got a technical foul after approaching the referee during a timeout. This came after Eric Bledsoe was fouled, something which angered Budenholzer.

For Giannis, finishing with over 30 points under 30 minutes, for the ninth time this season was all he needed to shut Houston Rockets’ star, James Harden, who claimed the Greek Freak plays without skills. Speaking after the game, Giannis reiterated how much effort he puts into his work, training consistently and relying less on his power.

The Bucks were without Khris Middleton, one of their top scorers. Thunder’s Chris Paul made 18 points, describing their loss as “an old-fashioned butt whooping.”
