He just has a sense of calm – LeBron James heaps praise on Carmelo Anthony

LA Lakers’ talisman players LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony have all the experience under their belt. Both the veteran players are playing their 19th NBA season and have been consistent performers in the league. James heaped praise on Anthony stating that he has a sense of calm on the court.

Anthony has done a fine job for the Lakers in the ongoing season while coming off the bench. Both James and Anthony were at their best against Minnesota Timberwolves as the LA Lakers registered their 19th win of the season as they won by 108-103 at the Crypto.com arena on Sunday night.

LeBron dropped 26 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals in the win, whereas Carmelo Anthony scored 14 points on 5-of-10 (50.0%) shooting.

LeBron said: “He just knows who he is. He is not trying to be anything that others may think he should be or how he viewed himself in the past. He is the true definition of an ‘in-the-moment person’. He just has a sense of calm. He has ‘this is who I am’ and ‘this is how it’s going to go’ aura about him.”

LeBron added: “It’s a breath of fresh air to be around every day. Never gets too high, never gets too low or he’s never going to show you that even if he does. He just knows what he means to this ball club. He knows what he means to this game at this point in his career. He’s accepted who he is and is still great at it. I’m happy to say that I finally got an opportunity to team up with him for the full season.”

Meanwhile, LeBron James has been in sublime form as he had scored 30+ points in the last seven matches on the bounce. However, his 30-point streak was ended against Timberwolves as he scored only 26 points.

On the other hand, Carmelo Anthony has also done a good job for the LA Lakers as he has provided support to LeBron James. LA Lakers will next face Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night.
