It’s almost inhuman for a guy to sustain that pace: Dan Devone on Steph Curry’s 3-point domination

Sportscaster Dan Devone reckons it will be difficult for Golden State Warriors’ Steph Curry to continue his three-point domination in the NBA. Curry has been in sublime form in the ongoing season of the league and he has been at his lethal best while shooting from behind the arc.

The talisman recently broke Ray Allen’s record of most threes in the regular season as he scored the record-breaking triple (2974th) against New York Knicks. Curry is the undisputed king of three-pointers and his records speak for himself.

Curry is 33-years old and one believes he still has a lot of fuel left in his tank. However, Dan Devone believes it will be difficult for Curry to replicate the same kind of performances in the upcoming seasons of the NBA.

Devone said about the same on the Kolsky and Company podcast: “I’m not saying it’s happening now, but at some point, he’s not going to be able to put up those absolute video game type numbers that we have grown so accustomed to here in the Bay Area.”

“I don’t know if it’s starting and it’s beginning now, but I do know that at some point as athletes get into their mid-30s, it is coming. It is unfair to hold him to that standard that the bar he has set for so long, and we’ve been able to enjoy for so long; it’s almost inhuman for a guy to maintain that pace.”

Curry has always proved his critics and he is determined to keep going strong. The talisman has already scored 154 three-pointers in the ongoing season and had earlier become the fastest to 100 triples in a season as he had bettered his own record.

Curry had scored 30 points against Sacramento Kings and once again played a key role in the team’s 113-98 win. The linchpin is averaging 27.1 ppg in the ongoing season and has played a crucial role in his team’s 25-6 record.

GSW will next face Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday.
