NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins wants Doc Rivers to move out of the Philadelphia 76ers and join Los Angeles Lakers as head coach

The Philadelphia 76ers become the first team to get eliminated in the second round of the playoffs as they lost Game 6 against the Miami Heat 99-90 and as a reaction people have started calling out the players and coach Doc Rivers. NBA Analyst Kendrick Perkins feels that Rivers should be fired as he is better suited to the Los Angeles Lakers where he will get to work with LeBron James than staying in Philadelphia and working with players like James Harden.

Perkins who had already played under Doc Rivers during their time at Boston Celtics believes that the veteran coach will be better suited at the Lakers than at Philadelphia. He tweeted, “I hope Doc (Rivers) do get fired!!! He need to be in LA with that Lakers at least he knows the Point/Foward Lebron James is going to be in shape and actually compete. Get him AWAY from Harden please. Carry the hell on…”

People might think that he is criticising his former coach but when they check the tone of the tweet they will understand that he has shared concerns for Rivers. It gets very tough for a coach when one of your star talismans James Harden dropped an 11 point performance in a do or die game against the Miami Heat in the Nba playoffs Western Conference semifinals.

It was Jimmy Butler who once again showed his class to everyone as he stepped up on a big night and delivered for the Miami based franchise. Max Strus also came up really good with a double-double with a 20-point match and 11 rebounds. The Miami Heat will face the winner of the other semifinals between the reigning champions Milwaukee Bucks and the Boston Celtics.

However coming back to the SIxers, it has been a trend for them to crash out of the playoffs early on. This season they tried pairing him up with an elite shooter, James Harden who sadly did not turn up and is not showing signs of his best form. The franchise also got veteran coach Doc Rivers but still, nothing changed in the postseason.

Perkins feels that it is enough for Rivers to stay there and work with Harden rather he would like to see him get back in action with the Los Angeles Lakers as they are in a coach hunt and getting someone as experienced as Doc Rivers who will be able to steady their ship.
