Ancelotti says Real Madrid strikers are doing their jobs

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Real Madrid strikers have been competent with their jobs lately, thus helping the Los Blancos enjoy a good run of form, which continued with a 2-0 victory over Granada in a La Liga fixture on Saturday.

The Los Blancos were 4-2 winners over Napoli in the UEFA Champions League during the week, and they continued their impressive run of form to maintain a league-leading performance to beat Granada 2-0 at Santiago Bernabeu.

The summer signing from Borussia Dortmund and English midfielder Jude Bellingham has been shouldering the responsibility of scoring the goals for Real Madrid since the start of the season, but since an injury-imposed absence in the team for Bellingham, Brazilian forward Rodrygo has been standing in brilliantly scoring seven goals in the last five consecutive games for Real Madrid.

Saturday’s game was not a different one as Ancelotti revealed his happiness to see the Brazilian back to his best, while the team continues to work together.

“It was a good game. We were in control, and we also played very well. Rodrygo is back to his best and scoring a lot of goals. He doesn’t only score on the left. He also scores from the centre and from the right. The team has to work together, it doesn’t matter who scores the goals. What matters is the collective effort, and that’s what I like the most. The strikers are doing a great job and helping the team a lot.” said Ancelotti.

With the result, Real Madrid remains top of the La Liga table with 38 points from 15 games level on points with second-placed Girona who came from behind against Valencia 2-1 to win on Saturday as well.

Real Madrid’s next fixture is an away game in the La Liga against Real Betis.
