Bruno Fernandes pledges to win silverware with Manchester United in the upcoming future

Bruno Fernandes has been one of the best players for Manchester United ever since joining the club in 2020. But it is very very unfortunate that the Portugal international has not managed to lay his hands on any silverware for the Red Devils. He came close to winning a title but United lost the Europa League finals against Villareal.

Bruno Fernandes recently completed two years at Old Trafford. On this occasion, he had an interaction on the club’s website where the Portuguese midfielder highlighted his ambitions with the Red Devils. He wants to win trophies for the club and believes that they have the quality to do so.

“My ambition is still the same. I want to win trophies with the club. That will always be in my mind until the last day I am at the club. I don’t know when that will be but, until then, I will believe that I can win trophies with this club because I think we can and I think the club deserves it, the fans deserve it and also the players, we deserve to win a trophy,” he said.

“Whenever that is, we have to do it step by step and understand we have those qualities but we have to understand how to do it, how to put everything together – the qualities and the intensity and everything, ” he went on adding how the team needs to understand their strength and weaknesses and work together towards the same goal.

Bruno had no choice but to admit that Manchester United are not in the race to contend for the Premier League. The Red Devils are currently in fourth position and 19 points behind leaders Manchester City. However, the former Sporting CP man feels that United can win the UEFA Champions League or even the FA Cup this season.

“Of course, in the league, it is too far now. We have to be realistic and we have to fight for the top four and being in the UEFA Champions League next season. At the same time, fight for the Champions League and the FA Cup. I don’t care what people think or can say about us winning the Champions League or the FA Cup. I think we have the chance to win it, the qualities to win it and, most of all, we are in those competitions. Until we are out, we have to believe we can win those competitions,” Fernandes concluded.

The Portuguese midfielder has time and again also stated the importance of finishing in the top four in the Premier League. So his role will be crucial in helping United hold their position in the Premier League points table.
