Michael Carrick has been named on the shortlist for the Premier League Manager of the Season award following an impressive spell as caretaker boss of Manchester United.
Carrick, who took charge in January after replacing Ruben Amorim, is among six nominees recognised for their performances during the 2025-26 campaign.
The former Manchester United midfielder has overseen a remarkable turnaround at Old Trafford, winning 10 of his 15 matches in charge and guiding the club from seventh place into the top three.
Since his appointment on January 13, United have collected more Premier League points than any other side, securing qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League in the process.
Carrick faces strong competition for the award from Mikel Arteta of Arsenal and Pep Guardiola of Manchester City, with both managers still battling for the Premier League title.
Guardiola is aiming to claim the honour for a sixth time, while Arteta is closing in on Arsenal’s first league crown since 2004.
Also nominated are departing Andoni Iraola, boss of AFC Bournemouth, Keith Andrews of Brentford, and Regis Le Bris of Sunderland.
Iraola and Andrews are both chasing historic European qualification with their respective clubs, while Le Bris has successfully guided Sunderland through their first season back in the top flight.
The Premier League also announced the shortlist for Player of the Season, with several standout performers recognised for their contributions.
Arsenal trio David Raya, Gabriel Magalhães, and Declan Rice are included alongside Manchester City stars Antoine Semenyo and Erling Haaland.
Other nominees for the player award include Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United, Igor Thiago of Brentford, and Morgan Gibbs-White of Nottingham Forest.
The winners of both awards will be determined through a combination of public voting and a panel of football experts.
Arsenal still leads the title race with two points and two games left.
