Chelsea approach ac Milan goalkeeper to replace Kepa

AC Milan first choice goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma has been approached by London and English Premier League side, Chelsea.

Reports indicate that frank Lampard’s side is preparing a bumper deal for the young italian goalkeeper.

The one time UEFA Champions League winners are preparing to bring in Gianluigi Donnarumma in the summer as Spaniard Kepa Arrizabalaga is out of favour.

Several high-class goalkeepers have been linked to the Stamford Bridge after several strings of uninspiring performances from the former Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper.

Donnarumma’s contract with the San Siro outfit will expire in 2021 and lots of speculations have been on going with a contract extension yet to be agreed.

French Champions, Paris Saint Germain and Spanish giants, Real Madrid are also observing the 21-year-old’s current situation.

Also, Mino Raiola the goal keeper’s agent has been contacted by the Blues and the move, it is reported, has gone one step forward.

The details of the proposed move is said to include a five year contract that is said to be worth €8million-a-year (£7m) plus bonuses.

It is expected that the goalkeeper will take home £130,000-a-week albeit a transfer fee has not been quoted.

The Milan club is hoping that the goalkeeper will agree to a long term contract with his boyhood club with the player also wishing to stay but with the right conditions on ground.

The terms wanted by the goalkeeper and his agent, Raiola, is what reports in Italy say is stalling the new deal as Raiola wants clarifications as to the club’s objectives.

Chelsea signed Kepa for £72million in 2018 from Athletic Bilbao making him the expensive goalkeeper in the world albeit a string of poor showing this season could mean he will leave Stamford bridge after 2 years.
