Europa League: Ferencvaros defeat Monaco to top Group H

 
Hungarian side, Ferencvaros, has emerged as the leader of Group H in the 2022 Europa League after securing another victory against AS Monaco.

Monaco, the hosts, have been rated to record a win after defeating Partizan Belgrade last week away from home in matchday one of the group.

Aleksandr Golovin crossed to the head of Disasi, but the header from the center of the box could not beat the goalie.

Golovin again released Youssouf Fofana, whose right-footed shot from outside the box got saved but the keeper.

The visitors, in a bid to protect their lead, resorted to defending, and they eventually succeeded. They also attempted to double their lead through Franck Boli right footed shot from long range but missed the target.

After a fast break, Tokmac Ngue ballooned the ball into the air after receiving a pass from Muhamed Besic.

The Ligue 1 team went behind through a 79th-minute strike from Bálint Vécsei.

Several attempts missed summed up the night for the hosts.

They will hope to return to winning ways when they play Reims in the Ligue 1 this weekend.
