The Canaries boss was delighted with his side’s win over Manchester City F.C. on Saturday’s encounter.

Norwich City F.C. manager Daniel Farke was delighted with side’s showing against Manchester City on Saturday’s premier league encounter. The injury-hit Canaries produced a shock win over Pep Guardiola’s side. Kenny Mclean opened the scoring for the Canaries in the 18th minute after powering in Emiliano Buendía ‘s near-post corner.

Todd Cantwell doubled the home side advantage in the 28th minute with a tap-in from Buendía ‘s pass. Sergio Agüeruo reduced the deficit for the citizens in the 45th minute after glancing in Bernardo Silva’s cross.

Teemu Pukki restored the canaries lead after a defensive lapse from City defender Nicolás Otamendi. City new acquisition Rodrigo Hernández Cascante (Rodri) scored his first goal from outside the box in the 88th minute, but that wasn’t enough as Norwich City held onto victory.

Speaking after the game, Norwich City gaffer Daniel Farke told reporters that the Canaries’ win over the Citizens showed that they are capable of special things. “The dressing room is buzzing, Carrow Road is buzzing, and it’s a brilliant night for the whole club, Winning against one of the best teams in the world with our injury situation is outstanding, I can’t praise the lads enough for their temperament, their spirit. It’s a win for our amazing fans and for our owners Delia and Michael”, Daniel Farke was quoted as saying.

Before the game, Daniel Farke’s’ side was hit with an injury crisis which led to the gaffer making several changes ahead of the game. Sam Bryam, Ibrahim Amadou and Alex Tettey all had their debut. Despite the injury crisis, Daniel Farke’s lads did make him proud with a display of grit and style to earn the Canaries their first win of the season.

Daniel Farke joined Norwich City as head coach on 25th May 2017 on a two-year contract after failing to agree on a new contract at Borussia Dortmund. The Coach led Norwich City to gain promotion to the English Premier League having won the Championship title after the last match of the season. The gaffer signed a three-year contract extension in March 2019 tying him to the club until June 2022.

Norwich star Teemu Pukki is priced at 18.50 to finish as the top scorer in the Premier League.
