“I believe in Merengues’ project,” Guler reacts to link with Inter

Real Madrid talent Arda Guler has reacted to speculation surrounding his future at the club, insisting that he believes in the Merengues’ project.

He further stated that he won’t stop fighting for his short until he becomes an important player in the team.

Due to lack of playing time, the Turkey international has been linked with a move to Inter Milan in the summer.

According to Italian media, Nerazzurri had already opened preliminary talks with the player’s entourage. His national team colleague, Hakan Calhanoglu, in a recent interview, suggested that his compatriot moves to the Stadio Meazza to get more playing time.

Guler has been below the pecking order of the midfield dominated by Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavingha, and Aurélien Tchouaméni. Even legendary Luka Modric plays a bit-par role mostly in the team.

Speaking about his future in an interview with Marca, the young star didn’t seem willing to change clubs anytime soon.

“Real Madrid gave me a plan, and I still believe in it. I’m sure I will succeed in Madrid. I’ve bought a house here. I work hard, and I am always ready to play.

Expressing his love for Madrid fans, the 20-year-old said their support means a lot.

“I am very grateful. I came to Madrid to play and be an important part of the team, and I won’t stop fighting until I achieve it,” he added.

Meanwhile, Inter are monitoring some strikers. They include Como’s Nico Paz and Lille’s Jonathan David, who is available for free transfer.

Guler has played 30 games under Carlo Ancelotti this season, but mostly as a substitute, recording just 1,088 minutes of action, scoring three goals and five assists across all competitions.

His contract at the Estadio Bernabeu runs out in June 2029.
