I’m very optimistic we can get it turned around – Steph Curry after loss against Denver Nuggets

Golden State Warriors talisman Steph Curry is confident of turning the tables after their 134-117 loss against Denver Nuggets on Thursday night. This was the second consecutive loss for the Dubs after they had managed to win three games on the bounce.

Stephen Curry had 28 points and Jordan Poole added 22 but their efforts went in vain. GSW was able to hit 19 3-pointers but it was not enough for them. Curry feels the team needs to address the performance issues and their combinations.

“I’m very optimistic we can get it turned around,” Curry said. “But we do have to address certain issues with our team, whether it’s performance issues or whether it’s trying to find the right combinations.”

With this loss, the defending champions are now 26-26 in the league but Curry and Co. don’t want to hit the panic buttons.

On the other hand, Jamal Murray had 33 points and Nikola Jokic recorded his 17th triple-double of the season for the Nuggets.

“Jamal, his greatness is on full display,” said Nuggets coach Michael Malone, who campaigned for Murray to be added to the All-Star roster should a replacement be necessary.

In fact, Murray scored 17 points in the third quarter as the Nuggets took it by 35-22 to build a crucial lead.

“Guys are shooting well,” Murray explained. “Everybody.”

Moreover, Jokic continued his good form as he came up with 22 points, 16 assists, and 14 rebounds. GSW head coach Steve Kerr was all praise for Jokic.

“He’s good at everything,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. “Literally every time he has the ball, everybody is a threat. Your entire defense has to be engaged.”

Golden State Warriors will look to return to winning ways against Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night.
