Harry Kane was a notable presence as FC Bayern Munich held their final training session on Monday ahead of Tuesday’s crucial Champions League quarter-final first leg against Real Madrid.
The England captain returned to the squad’s preparations at the club’s training ground, boosting Bayern’s hopes for the high-stakes clash at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Kane had been sidelined with an ankle injury picked up during the recent international break.
As a result, he missed Saturday’s Bundesliga match, where Bayern secured a 3-2 victory over SC Freiburg.
However, the 32-year-old appears to have made a strong recovery. Sky Germany reported cautious optimism that Kane could even be in the starting lineup for the Madrid fixture.
Over the weekend, Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany and sporting board member Max Eberl both expressed confidence in Kane’s availability for the important European tie.
Monday’s session marked a near-full turnout for the senior squad. With the exception of third-choice goalkeeper Sven Ulreich, every available senior player participated in the training as Bayern put the finishing touches on their preparations.
The match on Tuesday, 7 April 2026, represents a significant test for the Bavarians against the 15-time European champions.
Having Kane available would provide a major boost to Bayern’s attacking options as they look to gain an advantage in the first leg of the quarter-final.
Kane’s return comes at a vital time for the German giants, who will be determined to perform well in Spain and lay the foundation for a possible progression to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
The entire Bayern squad will now focus on their final recovery and tactical preparations before traveling to face Real Madrid.
