Keseru eager to face Inter Milan

Ludogorets striker Claudiu Keseru is relishing the prospect of playing in San Siro next week. “Now I’m dreaming of scoring a goal in the stadium of Ronaldo and Andriy Shevchenko.”

The Bulgarian outfit meet the Nerazzurri in the Round of 32 in the Europa League, with the first leg tomorrow in Razgrad.

The return leg will be played at San Siro next week, and it is something that Keseru is looking forward to.

“I could almost call this a derby, because as a child I liked Milan very much and now I dream of scoring a goal in the stadium of Ronaldo and Shevchenko,” Keseru told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Ludogrets finished 2nd in Group H behind Spanish side Espanyol and believes they can put Inter in some difficulty.

“In Europe we only made mistakes against Espanyol. We have the quality and organisation and we know how to control the ball.”

Inter stopper Samir Handanovic has been sidelined with an injury, and is expected to be out for a number of weeks.

“He is a great goalkeeper and directs their defence. For us, however, it will be important to put pressure on them in the final third of the pitch and force them into making mistakes.”

Former Inter and Lazio midfielder Aron Winter says the Nerazzurri should have “no problems“ overcoming Ludogorets in the Europa League, and that he would pick Ronaldo over Cristiano Ronaldo.

Winter played for Lazio from 1992 to 1996, before moving to Inter, where he stayed for three years.

Winter gave an interview to Bulgarian newspaper Trud ahead of Inter’s clash with Ludogorets in the Europa League Round of 32, and expects a victory for his old side.

“I think that there won’t be many problems for the Nerazzurri,” Winter told the newspaper.

“Inter are a team that has more experience and are organised. I don’t think there will be a different outcome.

“In the Europa League they will be tough opponents for everyone, however in Serie A I think in the end Juventus will win it.

“I hope Inter can do it, but Juve will more likely be champions.”

Winter was then asked whom he would pick between former teammate Ronaldo and Juve’s Cristiano Ronaldo.

“Both are unique players, but for me the Brazilian was superior to CR7.

“If he hadn’t been injured so often, he would have certainly won much more.”
