Juventus skipper Manuel Locatelli is set to sign a long-term deal with the Turin club, with an agreement in place to extend his contract until 2030.
The Italy international has a year or two left on his current deal. His presence and contributions to the side have led the management to offer an additional two-year deal while also including a salary increase from €3m to €4m per season.
CalcioMercato reported that the official signing will take place on April 17.
The AC Milan academy graduate joined Juventus from Sassuolo in 2021 for €37.5m.
Since arriving in Turin, he has scored nine goals and registered 17 assists across 224 games. The midfielder played a key role in the club’s Coppa Italia triumph in 2024.
Locatelli, who was part of the Euro 2020 winning squad, has also scored three goals for the Azzurri in 36 games.
This development follows key extensions for Juventus, having given new deals to Kenan Yildiz, Weston McKennie and head coach Luciano Spalletti.
The major attention is now on the future of Dusan Vlahovic, whose current contract is due to expire this summer.
The Serbian is likely to leave the Turin club on a Bosman deal as matters surrounding a renewal remain unresolved.
Vlahovic could have made a return from injury during Juventus last game, but sustained another injury during warm-up.
Injuries have reduced his contribution to Juventus this season to 18 games, scoring six goals with two assists.
This has made his market value decrease to around 35m Euros.
The Serbian international is a potent forward that Juventus would want him to get a new deal with the hope of being injury-free next season.
But anything could change as Vlahovic could decide his future after the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Juventus are also expected to be planning a replacement for him should he decide to leave for free in the summer.
