New Newcastle Owners Want a Manager With Premier League Experience

Newcastle’s new Saudi owners just completed their club take over last week for £ 305 million, and one of their first moves was to sack Steve Bruce.

Fans always criticized Bruce, in fact in an interview with The Telegraph, the former Newcastle boos said:

“When I arrived, I thought I could handle everything, but it has been very hard. They have never loved me, I have always felt that people wanted me to fail and I had to read that I was useless, stupid, and inept. All that from the day I arrive.

“If I won, they would tell me that I was lucky or that my football style was garbage. I tried to enjoy it; I have always liked all that about showing people that they are wrong. But in the end, it was nothing more than that. I didn’t even win the feeling of getting the support of the fans. ”

With the departure of Bruce, Newcastle is looking for a new manager who can get the club out of the bottom of the table.

The club is in 19th place with only three points from eight games without achieving a single victory.

According to a source close to the club, the new manager arriving at St. James Park will be for a short time, probably until the end of this season. The Saudis want to retain their position in the top flight and would therefore seek a manager with experience in the Premier League.

Some of the names that have been linked to the club are Frank Lampard who is available after his departure from Chelsea.

Another candidate is Sam Allardyce, who is also available after his departure from West Bromwich Albion. The 66-year-old English coach has approximately 1000 Premier League games and effectiveness of 47.67%.

The Saudis reportedly do not want to make a big signing at once, despite having the capital. Their objective is to ensure permanence in the Premier League, and until next season, they will deploy all their economic power to rebuild the club.
