Manchester United could hinder Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain in signing Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are also in the race to sign a striker on loan with Turkish giant Galatasaray from Napoli.
Sacha Tavolieri revealed that United could be set to rival the Paris club for the signing of the 25-year-old.
Osimhen wasted no time settling at Galatasaray, netting 12 goals in 15 games.
Since he is on loan with the club, Osimhen could be on the move again next summer.
Galatasaray may be unable to afford his wages, pushing them out of the way of making his loan deal permanent.
According to RMC Sport, PSG have made contact with the forward. However, a move could prove complex due to the position of Luis Enrique, who was opposed to the signature of a No.9 in the summer.
Randal Kolo Muani has been unable to get enough first-team action and may leave the club in the winter to transfer initially on a loan deal.
However, to make the Osimhen deal happen in January, there would be a negotiation between PSG, Napoli, and Galatasaray. That could not have been easy due to his presence in the club.
Osimhen has a market value of €75m, and only Man United and PSG could offer such huge cash among his suitors.
With United now in the race for his signature, it could further complicate matters for PSG. Tavolieri said the Red Devils had contacted Osimhen’s representatives as they are in the market for a forward and could be the ones to allow the Nigerian to fulfill his dream of playing in the Premier League.
United will have no difficulty reaching an agreement with Osimhen, but doing the same with Napoli will be more difficult as the Serie A side demands as much as €75m for the striker.
He has 18 months left on his current deal with the club, having signed an extension last season.
