Sevilla came back from behind multiple times on Monday evening to defeat Celta Vigo 4-3 on Monday night in the Spanish La Liga.
Sevilla were on a five-match unbeaten run before the game on Monday with three wins and two draws in their last five matches, while Celta Vigo has 2 wins two draws and a loss in their five games in the La Liga.
However, it was Sevilla who took the lead early in the game with a seventh-minute strike from Jules Kounde.
Iago Aspas scored a quick double in the 20th and 23rd minutes to equalise and put Celta Vigo in the lead, first slotting a penalty in the 20th minute before scoring off a Denis Suarez assist 3 minutes later.
Brazilian midfielder Fernando then put Sevilla on level terms in the 35th minute but Brais Mendez ensured that Celta Vigo went into the break with a 3-2 lead.
However, it was in the second half that Celta Vigo crumbled as Sevilla dominated the second half and equalised through Ivan Rakitic on the hour mark before Alejandro Gomes in the 76th minute ensured that Sevilla regained their lead and won the game.
Sevilla remains in the fourth position with 61 points, and they are four points behind Barcelona, who are in third after losing to Real Madrid in the El Clasico on Saturday evening.
Celta Vigo are in 10th position with 37 points, and they are 10 points away from Real Sociedad in the fifth position in the UEFA Europa League place.
Sevilla are comfortable in fourth place as they are 14 points above Real Sociedad despite both teams playing 30 games each.
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid are still at the top of the La Liga table with 67 points from 30 games, one more than Real Madrid in second with 66 points.
