As the US Men’s national team continues to prepare for the fast-approaching November Nation’s League quarterfinal fixture against Jamaica, head coach of the US Men’s national team, Mauricio Pochettino, has released the list of players called up.
Unlike in October, when Pochettino was forced to play without a lot of his key players in his first two matches as the head coach of the USMNT, he now has the big names and regulars available for the November international break.
Mauricio Pochettino has called up Weston McKennie and Tim Weah back into the squad but despite the recovery of the duo of Tyler Adams and Cameron Carter-Vickers from injury, they have been left out.
The Bournemouth star, Tyler Adams, was left out as he only played his first games of the season for the Cherries on October 26 and Pochettino has explained his absence as precautionary although he was happy to see him back.
Similarly, striker Josh Sargent and Sergino Dest were also left out due to injuries. The former Tottenham manager will hope that he has enough firepower to get past Jamaica whom the USMNT have a two-legged CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinal against.
The two-legged fixture against Jamaica is their last of 2024, with the first left away on Thursday, November 14 and the second leg at home four days later in St. Louis. USA beat Panama 2-0 and lost 2-0 at Mexico in their last international fixtures in October.
