Vitinha: Real Madrid fans want PSG playmaker this summer

Real Madrid seems to be lacking some creativity in the middle of the park since the departure of Luka Modric, as Jude Bellingham is yet to replicate his best form this season.

This could be the reason Madrid fans want the Portugal international to join the Galacticos this summer.

They made their intention known through a poll by “El Larguero,” a radio program on the Spanish media outlet Cadena SER, published on Thursday.

The poll result showed that the PSG star is far ahead in the votes with  34% to be the flagship signing in Real Madrid’s midfield during the next summer transfer window.

Manchester City’s Rodri, who has also been linked to Madrid, is second in the poll with 16%.

Real Madrid fans are dreaming of Vitinha as he is by far the frontrunner to be their priority midfield signing this summer.

This means the Portuguese midfielder received more than double the votes of his closest rival, Rodri, although 72% of fans surveyed said they would welcome the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner to Real Madrid.

Next on the poll are Enzo Fernandez, Martin Zubimendi, and another PSG midfielder, Joao Neves, who received 10% of the vote.

Vitinha, who emerged third in the last Ballon d’Or, is under contract with the reigning European champions until 2029, following his contract extension last year.

In his reaction to the transfer rumours, the Portuguese midfielder reiterated last March that he feels good in Paris, adding that it would be stupid to leave.

Meanwhile, PSG could be without the 26-year-old  for at least two weeks as he is currently sidelined with a heel injury.

Vitinha has played 45 matches this season, scoring 7 goals and providing 10 assists.

Real Madrid are already planning their recruitment for next season, as they are expected to finish a second consecutive season without a major title. They are nine points behind FC Barcelona in La Liga, with six games remaining.
