The Welshman believes he can still attain “many things” with the Canaries before the expiry of his contract.
Norwich City sporting director Stuart Webber has reiterated his desire to achieve more with the English side after extending his contract with the club last week.
The Welshman is hoping to seek a new challenge with the Canaries at the end of the 2021-22 season. Webber has helped the club in their run to the return of the English top-tier despite financial challenges and believes more success can still be achieved with the Canaries.
“We’ve achieved a lot but we’ve still got so much to achieve and I think that was the most exciting thing when I sat down with the club owners Delia and Michael, I said if you think this is enough, then that’s not enough for me because, as I’ve always said from day one, if you want to be average then don’t get out of bed in the morning”, the Welshman was quoted as saying.
Webber has also urged the Club faithful to get behind the team during Match-days while ensuring an incredible atmosphere at Carrow road. “The fans should be pushing even more to make this place like Stoke used to be in the Premier League, because teams used to hate going there, because of the atmosphere, So we’ve got loads to do together and I ask everyone to join us on that journey because I think it will be exciting “ Webber added.
The Welshman has worked with several clubs including European champions Liverpool where he worked as director of recruitment from 2009-2012. That was before leaving for Queens Park Rangers where he served as Head of the scouting department. Webber joined Norwich City as Sporting director during the 2017-18 season and oversaw the Canaries promotion to the English top-tier. The Canaries will face Crystal Palace in their next game.
Norwich City are priced at 3.82 to claim a win. While Crystal Palace are available at 1.98, while a draw is backed at 3.80.
