Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemade has issued Bayern Munich a deadline to finalize his potential transfer, seeking clarity on his future.
The 23-year-old and his representatives are pressing for a move to the Bundesliga champions, demanding a resolution by week’s end. If Bayern fails to act, Woltemade is prepared to remain at Stuttgart and explore options next summer.
Bayern’s interest in Woltemade is strong, but negotiations have stalled. Stuttgart rejected their latest offer of €50 million (£43m/$55m) plus €5m in add-ons, with the club insisting only an “extraordinary” bid will secure the striker’s departure.
Woltemade’s value surged after a standout season, scoring 17 goals across all competitions, including a strike in the DFB-Pokal final, following his free transfer from Werder Bremen last summer.
Bayern recently splashed €75m (£66m/$88m) on Liverpool’s Luis Diaz to strengthen their wings, but the club still seeks a central striker, with Woltemade a top target.
With the DFL-Supercup clash against Bayern on August 16 approaching, Woltemade is eager to resolve his future before taking the field.
Sources close to the player indicate he’s keen to join Bayern’s star-studded squad, viewing it as a career-defining move.
However, Stuttgart’s firm stance reflects their high valuation of Woltemade, who has emerged as a key player.
Bayern’s hesitation stems from their recent heavy spending, but manager Vincent Kompany reportedly sees Woltemade as a perfect fit for his tactical vision.
The young striker’s pace, finishing, and versatility make him a prime target. If Bayern cannot meet Stuttgart’s demands, other European clubs may enter the race, complicating the transfer saga.
The clock is ticking, and Bayern must decide swiftly or risk losing one of Germany’s brightest attacking talents.
