Golden State Warriors superstar Draymond Green suspended indefinitely by the NBA following his clash with Jusuf Nurkic

Golden State Warriors superstar Draymond Green’s action over the last few months has been pretty wild on the court. He has faced severe criticism for choking Rudy Gobert and now he has smacked Jusuf Nurkic in the neck on Tuesday.

Following this incident and his horrible track record of getting violent on the court, Green has been suspended by the NBA indefinitely. A statement from the league said that the veteran star is required to meet some league terms and conditions before he is allowed to play again.

Referees ruled Green’s action on Nurkic as flagrant foul 2 which resulted in unnecessary and excessive contact. Leading to an automatic ejection from the game.

Generally, the NBA slaps players with a ban over a fixed number of games but here the situation is different. While some feel that Green’s punishment is apt, some fans believe that he should be punished when he punched former teammate Jordan Poole.

The four-time NBA champion later apologized to Nurkic, saying that he accidentally swung his arm in order to win a foul call as he believed that he was unfairly held back. However, the Suns player remained unhappy, saying: “What’s going on with him? I don’t know. Personally, I feel like that brother needs help.”

Warriors coach Steve Kerr understands the gravity of the situation and feels that the incident with Gobert was inexcusable. He clearly states that Green needs to change for the betterment of all parties. He is ready to help him as the big man is extremely important for the Warriors.

“The one who choked Rudy [Gobert], the one who took a wild flail, the one who punched Jordan [Poole] last year, that’s the guy who needs to change,” Steve Kerr told Kendra Andrews.

Most analysts feel that the Warriors cannot hold Green accountable now because they didn’t question him when he punched Poole. The team refused to suspend their superstar following that incident and later Poole was traded to the Washington Wizards to make things easier for Green.

The Warriors have no chance now but to take definitive steps against the 33-year-old in accordance with the NBA. Warriors superstar Stephen Curry will also have a role to play in his matter considering how close he is to Green.
