Don’t see anyone beating Warriors ‘when healthy

Golden State Warriors stalwart Klay Thompson has issued a warning to other teams, claiming that no one can beat them if all the players are healthy. The Dubs comprehensively defeated Sacramento Kings by 119-97 on Friday night.

“I don’t see a team who can beat us in a seven-game series when we’re healthy,” Klay Thompson said.

Thompson is confident that the team has hit its stride at the right moment and they will be looking to keep up the good show in the postseason.

At the half time, Golden State was ahead by only five points. In fact, the Warriors had taken the first quarter by 32-16 but the Kings bounced back to take the second quarter by 32-21. Thompson was the star of the show as he top-scored with 29 points whereas Steph Curry added 25 points for the Warriors to close in on the playoffs berth.

Donte DiVincenzo said that at halftime Kerr told the Warriors, “You guys know what’s at stake. You guys are going to pick this up in the second half.”

“That’s a message we needed to hear,” DiVincenzo said. “But we shouldn’t have to turn it around at halftime. We’re a good enough team. We can be a great team. We just have to start that way.”

In fact, the Warriors had suffered losses against Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves and it was crucial for them to bounce back against the Kings.

“We’ve always been a team that lives on the edge,” Kerr said. “We’re a little wild, a little chaotic, but we’ve thrived in that chaos for many years. We just can’t cross the edge. … It’s up to us. We have it in us. But the focus, the attention to detail, it all has to be there.”

Golden State Warriors will face Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night.
