LeBron James is always looking at numbers to get better of his teammates – Dwight Howard

LA Lakers talisman LeBron James is well known to be one of the best players in the history of the NBA. James is known to get the best out of his teammates and he is a leader on the court. The talisman has a high Basketball IQ and he is always smart with his move.

Lakers player Dwight Howard has had the experience of observing James from close quarters and he had won the 2020 championship with the veteran. In fact, that was the first time when these two players played together for the same team in the NBA.

Meanwhile, Howard has revealed that James pays special attention to stats in order to get the best out of his teammates. James is well known for his accurate shooting skills and he can also play the role of a playmaker for his teammates, according to the match situation.

Dwight Howard said on the Knuckleheads podcast, “He’s always watching the stat sheets. It’s not like he’s looking to pad stats. He’s looking to figure out with numbers how can he be more effective. ‘How can this player be more effective? I gotta get this guy shots here. I gotta do this for this guy.’ He’s just really keeping account of what’s going on. It’s like how he do his business. He do it the same way.”

Howard went on to add that James makes his moves on the court like he is playing Chess.

“Everything he’s doing, he’s strategically doing. He’s playing chess. That’s something I got just watching him with how he moves. Everything he’s doing, he’s positioning himself and the people around him to make sure that everyone is successful in whatever field it may be.”

Meanwhile, Russell Westbrook has decided to opt into his $47.1 million contract and it means he, James, and Anthony Davis will once play together in the next season. Dwight Howard is unrestricted free agent and it will be interesting to note whether he will stay with the Lakers.

The Lakers had a horrible last season as they failed to even qualify for the playoffs and they will look to bounce back stronger
