NBA media personality Mike Greenberg feels LeBron James has zero chances of winning the NBA Championship in the next 2 years

It has been a tough season for the Los Angeles Lakers as they started the season to regain the NBA Championship which they won a couple of seasons ago. When the Milwaukee Bucks won the title last year, they wanted to retaliate and show the world that they are the best team in the NBA. But the idea of bringing in several veteran players fired back at them as many players got injured and LeBron James’s dream of winning another Championship remained a dream as the Lakers failed to even get into the play-ins.

Recently in ESPN’s Morning show “Get Up”, one of their most reputed TV personalities Mike Greenberg shared how the Lakers franchise is going nowhere and James should seek a move elsewhere with more chances of winning the Championship. He feels that the Lakers have zero chance of winning the title for the next two seasons.

Greenberg highlighted that he agrees with Stephen A. Smith’s take on the Akron Hammer as Smith shared how the Lakers should consider trading LeBron James. But Greenberg feels that James should also leave the franchise and join a team that is in a better position than the gold and purple army.

Stephen A. Smith said last week on First Take that the Lakers should consider trading LeBron James. Not only was he right, but I will go one better – he (LeBron James) should want that,” Mike Greenberg opined.

“He has ZERO chance of winning a championship in L.A. in the next two years. He has a much better chance of doing it someplace else.”

They finished 11th in the Western Conference, with a record of 33 wins and 49 losses. It was a forgetful season for the Lakers and they should take learnings from here on.

But coming to James’ trade, the Akron Hammer is untouchable for them for now. He is the only reason why this team did not go even down in the West. He is the reason why they competed and was also alive in the playoffs race even when everyone else had given up hope. He is definitely their best player and the Lakers would not do that.

However, there are reports of unrest between the Lakers front office and LeBron James.  So it will be interesting to see what ultimately turns out of this and whether Greenberg’s wish of seeing LeBron in a different jersey gets fulfilled or not.
