Shaquille O’Neal does not agree with Draymond Green’s picks as he makes his own GOAT picks

The Greatest of all time debate in the NBA is never ending. It always raises cool topics that can be debated as every fan, player, expert has different opinions about different players and hence the answer is different. Most of the players in contention are surely great guys but the way people defend their picks makes it really very interesting.

Recently Shaquille O’Neal shared his thoughts on the GOAT debate. He joined the trend after he heard Golden State Warriors veteran Draymond Green. Although O Neal does not agree with Green, he respects his opinion and his pick.

The GOAT debate has seen several ups and downs and mostly it has been between LeBron James and Michael Jordan as the popular picks. While in some debates the likes of Wilt Chamberlain or even Kobe Bryant are also in the mix depending on the fandom and popularity.

Most from the older generation feels Michael Jordan is the GOAT with a perfect six out of six run in the NBA FInals and 10 scoring titles. What else would one need to be the GOAT? However Draymond Green feels LeBron James edges him in the race due to his longevity and dominance. He also highlighted how James has this ability to adapt to the changing game in this generation and is still relevant.

In “The Big Podcast” Shaq shared how he respects Draymond Green’s opinions but does not agree with him. Shaq’s pick for the GOAT is Julius Irving and Michael Jordan. “I like Draymond, that’s his opinion. I like people when they have opinions in this world. You know, the problem we have is when some certain person has an opinion and you don’t like it.” said Shaquille O’Neal

“I’m not going to go off. That’s his opinion. My guy is Dr. J (Julius Erving) slash Mike. That’s my guy.”

With changing era and different playing style and the evolution of the game there are no set parameters to judge a LeBron James and a Michael Jordan. While most people admire them and hence consider them as GOATs is something that they have achieved in their career. But overall the entire debate is very subjective and based out of preference.
