They work hard, they play hard – Iman Shumpert on Klay Thompson and Steph Curry

Golden State Warriors duo of Klay Thompson and Steph Curry are known to destroy the opposition with their shooting. Thompson had made a return to the Dubs after spending 941 days on the sidelines due to his knee injury but he was able to hit the ground running.

Thompson then was able to contribute to the team’s success and played a key role in the side’s successful championship run. On the other hand, Curry was once again amazing for the Golden State Warriors as he delivered when it mattered the most.

Curry was particularly brilliant in the NBA Finals against Boston Celtics as GSW won the series by 4-2. The talisman averaged 31.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.0 steal while shooting 48.2% overall in the NBA Finals as he was at his best and thus he was awarded the Final MVP award.

The Splash Brothers, as they are known, were reunited in this season and they showed that they are a force to be reckoned with.

Meanwhile, it has been said by a lot of analysts that Thompson and Curry are soft but Iman Shumpert doesn’t believe so. Shumpert has had the experience of playing against these two potent players when he represented the Cleveland Cavaliers and knows what is it to be on the opposite side of them.

Shumpert said on his podcast, “If you go back and look, we could talk as much shit as we want. Like Steph and Klay ain’t no b***h.”

“Nah, they ain’t no b***h. That’s the funny thing. Cuz everybody be like, man, look at little light skin boys. They all soft a**es. No, motherf**kers ain’t soft. They work hard, they play hard, they work hard. The motherf**kers go.”

“They stop flopping and they start smacking our hand off. Straight up. I was like, oh you really? Bro when that shit, I seen them motherf**kers go I’m like man, Oh you one of them? I had respect. It was, it was like that war that we had with them.”

Meanwhile, it is well known Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors shared a great rivalry with each other for four years. Shumpert has great respect for Thompson and Curry despite their big rivalry.

“I love him. I love that guy. Steph too, man. Steph was talking shit, man. Call me a b***h and everything bro. That’s cool bro. I’m glad you got that in you. I’m serious man. Cuz you could have just let me do it.”
