Arne Slot happy with Liverpool situation

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has revealed that the club has lived up to the descriptions he was given before he joined the club in the summer. Slot replaced Jurgen Klopp, who left the managerial position at the end of last season.

He was previously the coach of the Dutch side, Feyenoord, before moving to Liverpool, and there seems to be an air of excitement about his approach to the team from the fans and players. Liverpool have played two games under Slot since the start of the season, and the Reds have managed to win both games.

The opening game of the season and Slot’s first Premier League game was a 2-0 win away at newly promoted Ipswich Town while he had the chance to lead his team out at the famous Anfield stadium on Sunday, where Liverpool won comfortably 2-0 against Brentford.

The momentum and support seem to be in good measure from the Kop towards their new manager, but that synergy will be tested next Sunday when Liverpool travels to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.

It will be Slot’s first real test, but with at least five days before that fixture, Arne Slot reminisced his time discussing the deal that brought him to England.

“Before I arrived I was told Liverpool is a family club and it has definitely lived up to this description in so many ways. The fans loved to see the team playing really well, and they also loved to see the team working very hard. I liked what I saw, so if I like it then mostly the fans like it. So it was a very good day for us.” Slot said.

So far, Liverpool have recorded wins from their first two Premier League games under him, recording six points and scoring four goals without conceding any. Of those four goals, Egyptian star Mohammed Salah has two goals and making one assist, while Diogo Jota and Luiz Diaz have one goal and one assist.
