Arsenal players will have access to start individual training at the club’s London Colney training ground from next week.
However, this will be done in line with the United Kingdom government’s guidelines on Coronavirus.
“Players will be permitted access to our London Colney training grounds. Access will be limited, carefully managed and social distancing will be maintained.” a spokesperson of the London club was quoted on bbc.com.
However, he revealed that buildings in Colney will still be closed as the players will move to and from the training alone while the workouts will be done individually.
According to the UK government, exercises can only be done alone or with people who they live with while social distancing of 2 meters should be observed when outside especially when not with family members.
However, some of the London club’s players have been seen breaking the guidelines in recent days as striker Alexandre Lacazette, Nicolas Pepe as well as David Luiz were pictured in several separate positions that do not reflect social distancing.
Meanwhile, the club has spoken to the players about the incidents as well as the need to remember their responsibilities as role models.
The English Premier League was suspended in March just days before Arsenal’s rescheduled tie against Manchester City after manager Mikel Arteta tested positive for the virus.
The Gunners were sitted in ninth in the Premier League standings but the club had been knocked out of the UEFA Europa League on away goals by Olympiacos.
No resumption date is set yet for the English Premier League return but the Premier League suggests it could resume games in late May or early June while Bundesliga are inching closer to a restart although the Belgian and Dutch Eredivisie have both been called off.
While the Belgium League was canceled with Club Brugge named champions, Ajax were not that lucky in Netherlands as the league was canceled with no champion, promotion and relegation.
