Dortmund manager describes Marius Wolf as phenomenal

Dortmund manager Edin Terzic has applauded Marius Wolf with abundant credit following his brilliant performance in the game against Freiburg last weekend.

The defender came on as a substitute and contributed largely to the performance of the BVB game as they came from a goal behind to win the tie. With this, the manager has now come out to acknowledge his player’s versatility and hard work in that crucial win.

In the build-up to Dortmund’s Bundesliga fixture against Werder Bremen on match day three this weekend, Terzic revealed how Wolf’s versatility could help the team and trusts him to continue with the great performances.

“Marius [Wolf] is a great guy with a fantastic work rate as well. He makes his movement forward and defending at the same time quite easy. “He did a great job denying the opponents any cross into our box.

“I hope he continues this consistency as he has been great during the preseason games till now.” “He is a phenomenal guy.” He added.

The 27- year old opened his scoring books for this campaign as he scored the scoring goal to hand the Black and Yellow side the maximum three points.

Over the past year, Wolf has made sure he remains consistent and committed to being a very vital squad player as he hopes to stamp a regular place at the right-hand side of the defense under Terzic regain this season.

Meanwhile, first-choice right-back Thomas Meunier has had a sluggish start to the season. He was substituted at halftime last week. However, Terzic backed his decision saying the Belgian international was taken off because of a yellow.

With just a couple of weeks left in the transfer window, it remains to be seen if Thomas Meunier will remain at the Signal Iduna park with Manchester United looking to secure his services.
