It appears that AC Milan are very close to finalizing personal terms with Leon Goretzka, as Rafael Leao and Christopher Nkuku could depart
Goretzka is a veteran midfielder who will be a free agent from Bayern Munich this summer. He has long been in their sights as a potential reinforcement who can bring valuable experience to a side that already has Luka Modric and Adrien Rabiot.
The 31-year-old is available as a free agent from July 1, and Milan are now confident they are extremely close to securing an agreement.
According to ESPN Deportes and ActuFoot, there are other suitors for the midfielder, which include Serie A sides Napoli and Juventus. Others are Arsenal, Olympique Marseille, and Bayer Leverkusen.
The Rossoneri could convince him to move to the club by qualifying for the Champions League, and they currently sit third in the Serie A table.
The German international will be a great asset to Max Allegri, having made 45 competitive appearances for Bayern Munich this season, scoring five goals and providing four assists.
He also has 69 senior caps for Germany, scoring 15 goals.
Meanwhile, Milan have reportedly put Christopher Nkunku for sale as they began the plan for the summer transfer window.
The club had reportedly told his agent, Pini Zahavi, that he is for sale, and has placed a value of €40m on him.
The 28-year-old joined Milan from Chelsea last summer for €37m plus bonuses.
Having failed to make much of an impact at San Siro, the France international scored just six goals with three assists in 32 competitive games.
He was rarely chosen in the starting XI, even during an injury crisis of strikers.
As for Leao, his time could be coming to an end with Milan
La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that he could be reunited with his former partner in crime, Theo Hernandez, at Al-Hilal.
Leao, who has been one of the stars of the Rossoneri camp for several seasons, has struggled to impress at centre-forward under Massimiliano Allegri this term.
The Portuguese attacker still has a staggering €175m release clause in his contract.
With his current form, the Rossoneri are reportedly looking at a sale for figures in the region of €50m-€60m.
