Lacazzette says Arsenal is getting better after a tough January

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazzette has said that his team is getting back on track after a hard January where results did not go the way of the gunners. The French striker made the statement after the comeback victory for The gunners against Wolves at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday evening.

The win is Arsenal’s third straight victory, and it puts the Gunners in the fifth position with 45 points with two games in hand and a five points gap between them and third-placed Chelsea.

There’s a possibility of toppling Chelsea if Arsenal wins their two outstanding matches even though one of them is against their London rivals.

The manner of the victory against Wolves was impressive as the Gunners had gone down in the 10th minute courtesy of a Hwang Hee-Chan’s opener.

Mikel Arteta’s side equalized through Ivorian striker Nicolas Pepe with just 8 minutes left as Wolves goalkeeper committed an own goal in stoppage time to hand Arsenal an all-important three points.

Alex Lacazzette, who had a hand in the winning goal, expressed his excitement about the goal while envisaging that the Gunners who endured a winless January will have it better going forward.

“I feel really happy. It is amazing to win this kind of game at the last minute. We really wanted this win because we know it is important to be at the top of the table. I knew it was the end of the game, and Nicolas Pepe gave me a good ball. It went in, and we are happy with the three points. A bit sad it has not gone down for me. I want to score, but the most important is to win. We had a difficult January, but we are coming back better in February.” Lacazzette said.

Arsenal will play Watford next at the Vicarage road while Wolves will hope to return to winning ways against West Ham United.
