Mbappé: Real Madrid move is a dream come true

After several months of rumors, talks, and discussions surrounding Kylian Mbappé’s potential move to Real Madrid, the La Liga champions have finally confirmed the signing of the French forward on a five-year contract until 2029.

The double winners, who secured the La Liga title earlier last month and the UEFA Champions League trophy on Saturday, were known as a long-term destination for the 2018 World Cup winner, who announced his exit from PSG in May.

The Los Blancos then confirmed that both parties had officially agreed to seal the move on Monday. Real Madrid revealed this news in an official statement on the club’s social media platforms.

“Real Madrid CF and Kylian Mbappé have reached an agreement whereby he will be a Real Madrid player for the next five seasons.” Real Madrid posted

In response, Kylian Mbappe mbappé took to his own Instagram page to show his excitement about the move, which he tagged as a dream come true.

“Nobody can understand how excited I am right now! A dream come true. So happy and proud to join the club of my dreams.” He posted on Instagram.

While his Paris St-Germain contract expires on June 30, some of his contractual details were revealed, stating that he will earn 15m euros (£12.8m) a season and a 150m euro (£128m) signing-on bonus spread over five years.

Mbappé’s move to Real Madrid has now elicited talks about the Spanish team’s strength with the obvious talent and quality that already abound in the team.

Although Real Madrid played without a properly recognized striker on their way to success last season, they had some game changers in Brazilian stars Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo, with teenager Endrick expected to join in the summer while England midfielder Jude Bellingham ended as the team’s highest scorer in the La Liga.

Mbappe will leave PSG as their highest goal scorer in history, having won as many as seven league titles in France, including PSG and Monaco. He also won the FIFA World Cup 2018, finishing second four years later.
