The Premier League is the most competitive league in the world, and clubs are working hard in the transfer market to strengthen their squads. Big names have already been brought to the Premier League, and more signings are expected. This is good news for fans of the Premier League as they will be able to watch some of the best players in the world compete against each other.
Many eyes are aware of the movements of Newcastle, which is currently one of the wealthiest clubs in the world and was expected to open the checkbook to hire some great players to strengthen its squad and start competing at the top of the table.
One of the most important signings that will land in Saint James Park was recently announced. This is Alexander Isak from Real Sociedad.
Isak had been avoiding making statements all summer until the transfer market closed, so it seemed that the player had considered the option of leaving Real Sociedad.
The Swede has been linked to Real Madrid and Barcelona, but it has been Newcastle who has secured his services. As reported by El Diario Vasco, the transfer was negotiated at 70 million fixed plus five variables to take over his services.
Isak scored 44 goals in the 132 appearances he had for Real Sociedad.
The Spanish club now has just eight days left on the market to search for a striker.
In January, Newcastle had already spent nearly 100 million to bolster its roster with the likes of Bruno Guimaraes, Kieran Trippier, Chris Wood, Matt Targett, and Dan Burn.
