Norwich’s Jamal Lewis Emerges As Transfer Target For Liverpool

 

Norwich left-back Jamal Lewis has become a subject of interest for English Premier League champions, Liverpool.

The Northern Ireland Defender is being touted as a backup to Andy Robertson, and the canneries defender is rated at 10 million pounds.

The 22-year-old made 28 appearances for the relegated Norwich City side, and Liverpool’s left-back Yasser Larouci is wanted by the Canaries, which could be a big decider in the deal.

Norwich are thought to be keen on Reds left-back Yasser Larouci, which could help a deal be reached.

The 19-year-old Algeria-born Larouci made two first-team appearances this season and has just one more year left on his contract.

A lot of transfer movements have been going on in the Canaries team after their relegation from the English Premier League, where they failed to get up to 30 points all through the season.

Norwich have signed Everton academy graduate and midfielder Kieran Dowell from Everton for an undisclosed fee in a three-year deal.

The 22-year-old was on loan at Wigan last season as well as Derby County, scoring a Hattrick in the 8-0 thrashing of Hull City in July.

The player, who has made 17 caps for England’s U21 side, expressed the impact of the move on his career.

“It’s a massive step in my career, which is why I had to make sure it’s the right decision for me, There was a bit of interest [from other clubs] towards the end of the season and when Norwich came up, with the history of the club and what they’ve got going on with the boss and the players they’ve got here, I think it was a really good fit for me.” he said of his move on BBC

Kieran Dowell incidentally made his Premier League debut in 2016 against Norwich City even though he only made five first-team appearances for Everton.
