Celtic star speaks on Pressures, Dangerous tackling and Poor Officiating

Celtic Player Boil Bolingoli has made some revelation about the task of playing for Celtic and how he has never felt such pressure in the footballing world.

There are expectations in the club that every game must be won, and that is the feeling every Celtic player must-have. Unlike, clubs who their ambition is to finish in the mid-table or fighting relegation battles, Celtic is a side with so much pressure on them every time.

However, the players have risen to the occasion this season, as they’ve seen a push for a fresh title challenge and also finishing top of their Europa League group and securing passage to the round of 32.

Even if they are feeling the heat, they are not showing it. With so much character, physical and mental discipline the coach [Lennon] has instilled in them.

Bolingoli who joined the hoops this summer after the departure of Kieran Tierney to Premier League side Arsenal for 25m – has been a regular starter at the left-back when he’s fit. The defender returned to the starting lineup against Aberdeen and helped the team to a 2-1 victory over Derek Mcinnes side.

When interviewed about the Celtic and the daunting task involved, the defender said; “definitely, the task and pressure involved is always good. It shows that we have ambition and to take the club forward towards achieving great things. And as a player, it can motivate you and improve your performance.”

He further revealed ” the performances required of us here [Celtic] was something similar at Brugge but there is a difference, I wasn’t playing all the time”.

Bolingoli feels he his mentally healthy and possess the character to cope with the pressures in the club as he is hoping to do more following his return from injury.

When quizzed on the Red card and the referee’s performance in the match against Aberdeen, the player said the tackle on Kristoffer by Sam Cosgrove was rash and very dangerous but feels referees are human and makes mistakes but have assistants to help out and also feels they should have scored more in the match against Aberdeen.

Celtic face a trip to St. Mirren before a Glasgow derby against Rangers to cap off the year.
