PSG prepare for French striker’s exit

Paris Saint-Germaine won’t stay in the way of Randal Kolo Muani, who is on the radar of some top clubs as the winter transfer business continues.

Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur contacted his club over his situation on Monday over a potential transfer.

Both parties have been engaged in a race to sign the player, with Manchester United’s interest conditional on Marcus Rashford’s departure. The Red Devils discussed the English striker’s availability with the Ligue 1 champions last week.

Romano said the Paris club is insisting on joining their conditions, but the former Nantes and Frankfurt striker will “100% leave” this winter.

Fabrice Hawkins also reported that Manchester United, Tottenham, Juventus, and AC Milan were all in the race to sign the France international.

Despite a host of European giants showing an interest, the 26-year-old has not decided on his future.

According to reports, Les Parisiens are close to signing Georgian attacker Khvicha Kvaratshelia,  PSG are expected to spend up to €70m on the Georgian.

This leaves the door open for the interest shown in Kolo Muani, as the Rouge et Bleu hope to recuperate some of the €80m they spent on the player two summers ago.

In a related development, PSG have lined up a possible replacement for Gianluigi Donnarumma, who seemed to have been dislodged by Matvey Safonov.

The arrival of Russia last summer threatened his place between the sticks because the Russian featured more regularly towards the end of 2024.

However, there appears to be a bigger threat on the horizon.

Sports Zone reports that PSG could replace Donnarumma with Lille OSC’s Lucas Chevalier, who has not only shone in Europe but also confirmed his status as one of the most promising up-and-coming goalkeepers on the continent.

Having also broken into the France setup for the first time, Chevalier is now a target for PSG, who see him as a replacement for Donnarumma.

Reports said the Italian has not fully convinced Luis Enrique and his technical staff of his capacity to be No.1 for an elite-level side.
