AS Roma secured a 2-1 win in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League round of 16 clash against Atletic Bilbao.
This means the tie can swing either way ahead of the second leg in Spain, and the the La Liga team is expected to turn on the heat against their Italian guests next Thursday.

Former Torino player Alex Berenguer had a chance to punish Roma again from another corner but failed to take advantage of another defensive mix-up on the Inaki Williams pull-back.
Athletic Club got reduced to 10 men, as Alvarez received a second yellow card for manhandling Shomurodov on the counter-attack.
With the last kick of the game, Roma made the extra man count and turned it around as Shomurodov sprung the offside trap on the Saelemaekers through ball, turned and drilled into the near bottom corner.
