Serge Gnabry commits to Bayern Munich with contract extension until 2028

Serge Gnabry has secured his future at Bayern Munich by signing a new contract extension that will keep him at the club until June 2028.

This development ensures that the German forward will continue to contribute to the Bavarian giants for at least two more years beyond his previous deal, which was originally scheduled to expire this summer.

Gnabry first joined Bayern in 2017 after transferring from Werder Bremen. However, he spent his initial season on loan at Hoffenheim, where he gained valuable experience before integrating into Bayern’s first team in 2018.

Since then, he has become a key player, amassing an impressive 311 appearances across all competitions. In these matches, he has scored 100 goals and provided 69 assists, showcasing his versatility and impact on the pitch.

During his tenure at Bayern, Gnabry has celebrated numerous successes, including six Bundesliga titles, two DFB-Pokal victories, the prestigious Champions League, the Super Cup, and the Club World Cup.

These achievements highlight his role in the team’s dominance both domestically and internationally.

Gnabry expressed his excitement about continuing to play for Bayern for additional years, as he mentioned in an interview on the club’s website.

He noted that the discussions regarding the extension were consistently positive. Reflecting on his journey, he admitted that when he first arrived at Bayern, he could never have imagined staying for a full decade by the end of this new contract.

He emphasized his ambition to maintain the momentum and build on past successes. Gnabry described the squad as a cohesive unit capable of achieving significant milestones.

He cited several factors influencing his decision to renew, including the quality of the team, the coaching staff, the overall club structure, the passionate fans, the vibrant city of Munich, and the supportive environment.

He added that he feels completely at home at Bayern, which made the choice straightforward.

In the current season, Gnabry has already demonstrated his form by netting seven goals in various competitions while also registering nine assists, underlining his ongoing importance to the team’s attacking prowess.

This extension not only boosts Bayern’s squad stability but also signals Gnabry’s confidence in the club’s future projects.

Fans and teammates alike will be eager to see him continue delivering memorable performances in the iconic red jersey.

As Bayern pursues more trophies, Gnabry’s commitment provides a solid foundation for sustained excellence.

His story at the club evolves from a promising newcomer to a seasoned star, embodying loyalty and ambition in professional football.
