Tudor calls for a strong Juventus performance against Dortmund

Juventus manager Igor Tudor called on his players to produce a strong performance in their first Champions League match of the season against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night.

The tactician is going into the European top club competition on the back of a 4-3 win against Inter Mila in the Italian derby over the weekend.

Dortmund are also going into the game on the back of a 2-0 win at Heidenheim.

Speaking ahead of the game to be played at the Juventus Stadium, the Bianconeri boss described Dortmund as one of the strongest teams in the world.

“ We played them in a friendly, now it’s a totally different game. It’s nice, the first (Champions League) game at home, and it’s a really high-level game, and we can’t wait for it to start,” he added while speaking at his pre-match press conference on Monday night.

Despite the victory over the Nerazzurri, the Juventus manager said the Bianconeri did not play to the best of their abilities.

Among the stars of Juve’s entertaining win over Inter was Kenan Yildiz, who scored a stunner. The talented attacker is tipped to start against the Bundesliga side, but Tudor is not revealing his starting line-up yet.

Tudor, who’s not keen on making a comparison between Yildiz, another Bianconeri no.10, and Alessandro Del Piero, said the youngster doesn’t think about Del Piero at all.

“ He plays football, and you make these comparisons. You have to leave the boy to live his life and grow without talking about him every day. He’s doing well.

Speaking on how high he thinks  Juventus can go, Tudor said they need to play a good game against Dortmund and have to be quick and see where they can hurt them.

Tudor will be hoping to win his first Champions League match as a coach.

He said there’s nothing personal about it as the main aim is to win. Tudor calls for a strong Juventus performance against Dortmund.
