Wanner poised with next move as loan exit looms

Bayern Munich players are set to kick off pre-season training by late July, aiming to build on last season’s Bundesliga triumph despite disappointing cup exits.

Under Vincent Kompany’s guidance, the squad is eager to sharpen its edge through rigorous drills, while club officials work to bolster the roster.

After securing Jonathan Tah in May, Bayern are pushing to enhance their attacking options for the upcoming campaign.

A key focus is the future of young German attacking midfielder Paul Wanner, who returns to Sabner Strasse following a mixed loan at Heidenheim.

Bayern plan to include him in their pre-season tour, but his long-term role remains uncertain. Hamburger SV, newly promoted to the Bundesliga, have shown strong interest in a season-long loan for Wanner, having already secured Daniel Peretz on loan from Bayern. They lead the race if Bayern opt for another domestic loan move.

Meanwhile, PSV Eindhoven have rekindled their interest in Wanner after pursuing him last summer. Reports suggest the Dutch club may propose a loan deal with an option to buy.

Bayern, however, view Wanner as a cornerstone of their future plans and prefer a loan to ensure he gains valuable European competition experience next season.

If a permanent transfer is considered, Bayern are likely to insist on a buy-back clause to retain control over the promising talent.

Wanner’s potential has already earned him a call-up to the German national team under Julian Nagelsmann, fueled by flashes of brilliance during his loan spells.

The Bavarian faithful are hopeful he’ll eventually shine at the Allianz Arena.

As Kompany moulds the squad and the transfer window heats up, Bayern’s decisions on Wanner and new signings will shape their pursuit of dominance in the Bundesliga and beyond.

With pre-season looming, the club’s ambition to reclaim glory in all competitions is clear, and all eyes are on how this talented roster will evolve.
