Ben Simmons Suffers left knee injury In Game against Washington Wizards As Brooklyn Nets Gets Fined

 

Philadelphia 76er’s point-guard and forward Ben Simmons has sustained a knee injury in his team’s game against Washington Wizards on Wednesday.

76ers won the game convincingly with 107 points to Wizards 98 points, but Simmons injury in the third quarter ended his part in the match as he failed to return to the match.

Before his exit, he had scored 8 points in 22 minutes, he then seem to have tweaked his left knee and will certainly miss Friday’s game against Orlando.

However, according to the coach of the side Brett Brown, the extent of the Injury of the two-time All-star is unknown yet.

“We don’t know, I’m sure the club will make some announcement. But as far as knowing more than that, I don’t. Obviously I’m very curious.” Brown was quoted on the NBA

Meanwhile, the 76ers are not the only team hit with injuries as Memphis Grizzlies Jaren Jackson Jr also suffered a knee injury earlier this week, which has ruled him out of the season.

Furthermore, Orlando Magic’s Jonathan Isaac also tore his ACL in his left knee and has also been ruled out indefinitely.

Meanwhile, the latest coronavirus test done for the 343 players in the NBA campus on July 29 has returned no positive result.

The NBA has placed a fine of $25,000 on Brooklyn Nets for failure to comply with the league policies surrounding the reporting of injury.

After 149 points to 115 points loss to Boston Celtics on Wednesday evening but there were concerns about the fitness of the players of the Nets as all 13 of the saw the floor.

The team itself has been hit with injury as a couple of players, including Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving have been out of the team due to injury.
