Former NBA player Antonio Daniels feels the Denver Nuggets have the most dangerous trio in the NBA

Different franchises have taken different routes this offseason. The Los Angeles Lakers have formed a superteam to compete with the Brooklyn Nets. The Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat have also made some brilliant moves to strengthen their roster for the upcoming NBA season.

But the Denver Nuggets did not manage to make any substantial upgrade apart from some minor changes in this offseason. Their biggest worry has to be Jamal Murray’s injury as the Nuggets are still not sure when the Canadian will return to action in the following season.

But to everyone’s surprise former NBA star Antonio Daniels feels that if Jamal Murray returns from injury, the Nuggets have the strongest trio in the NBA.

While a lot of people are not convinced about the Nuggets and their changes this offseason. Daniels feels that the trio of Nikola Jokic, Michael Porter Jr. along with Jamal Murray is one of the best in the NBA. He also pointed out how with Murray they are not that good as he rates the Canadian very highly.

“We can’t talk about how good he is and remove Jamal Murray from the equation. And say the Denver Nuggets are just as good or just as dangerous. I don’t think so. I think they’re going to be a competitive team because you do have Jokic, you do have Michael Porter Jr, who is getting better every year. But when you remove that point guard…”

“You saw it this past year. The Guys were very serviceable in stepping in for Jamal Murray. But there’s no one that they sub in for Jamal Murray that can do what Jamal Murray can do. So, when you put Jamal Murray and Jokic together, along with Porter Jr. that is your most dangerous trio,” explained Antonio Daniels.

Last season was nothing short of disappointing for the Nuggets as they lost to the finalists Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference semifinals. The Nuggets obviously missed the services of their star player Jamal Murray as he was down with an ACL injury.

Despite all the no show talks in the offseason, the Nuggets still have last season’s MVP in Nikola Jokic to spearhead the team. They also have a decent supporting cast featuring players like Michael Porter Jr., Will Barton, PJ Dozier, and Monte Morris. At this point, they need Jamal Murray to return to the court and then they can again dream for the NBA title.
