Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr feels Steph Curry is comparable to Michael Jordan

The Golden State Warriors are going through a purple patch in this season’s NBA. The Dubs have been superb and it is not entirely on Steph Curry. They have collectively played really well to be at the top of the Western Conference. While they are collectively doing really well, the maximum load is still taken up by Curry who has been sensational once again.

But Curry was fantastic last season aswell but this season others have also joined him in action and collectively they have been a major force to be reckoned with. They will only get better from here when you consider that players like Klay Thompson and James Wiseman will return from their respective injury concerns. Considering Curry’s greatness, chief coach Steve Kerr compares the baby Faced Assasin with his former Bulls teammate, Michael Jordan.

During Jordan’s time, there were a lot of brilliant plays from the GOAT as most of his moves would make their way to the highlights reels. Jordan had every weapon in his arsenal starting from dunks to layups. While Curry is great in his own way and also differs in terms of style, there are massive similarities between the two. Especially the way he dominates play with his exceptional shooting prowess. Curr’s long-distance shooting sometimes looks like surreal and that’s what makes him worthy of being compared with MJ.

Dubs coach Steve Kerr has seen the NBA over the years, he has played with Jordan during their Chicago Bulls days and has even coached some of the top talents. Speaking about current best players, Kerr feels that Curry is very similar to Jordan mainly because of how they stand out.

He said: “I think Steph in a lot of ways is like Michael Jordan because there are so many moments that stand out that they all kind of bleed together. … Maybe that’s the true sign of greatness.”

Kerr highlights how both MJ and Curry are highly comparable especially due to their brilliance on court. For MJ the main stand out point for the Bulls star is his NBA Finals record and his highlight clutch shots. On the other hand, Curry over the years has redefined three-point shooting. He has set new shooting records every season and has been the talisman for the Warriors.
