Golden State Warriors takes Game 4 of NBA Finals against Boston Celtics to level series 2-2

Golden State Warriors won the fourth game of the NBA finals against the Boston Celtics as they won by 107-97 at TD Garden on Friday night to level the series 2-2. Trailing by 2-1, there was definitely a lot of pressure on the visitors but they were able to get the best out of themselves.

The Dubs’ talisman Steph Curry had an outstanding outing despite suffering an injury scare in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. Curry went on to score 43, 10 rebounds, and four assists. The veteran was at his absolute best as he shot 14/26 from the field.

Curry said they had to prove their mettle and had to let everybody know that they are right in the contest.

“Felt like we just had to let everybody know that we were here tonight,” Curry said. “Whether that’s their crowd, their team, our team, whoever wants to see that energy and that fire, we feed off of that.”

The 33-year-old racked up seven three-pointers and became only the fifth guard in NBA history to have at least 40 points and 10 rebounds in a Finals game.

“Incredible,” Draymond Green said. “Put us on his back. Willed us to win. Much-needed win. A game we had to have. Came out and showed why he’s one of the best players to ever play this game, you know, and why, you know, this organization has been able to ride him to so much success. It’s absolutely incredible.”

On the other hand, Klay Thompson rated Curry’s performance as the best of the NBA Finals.

Curry was delighted with the team’s win and said it means everything to level the series.

“It means everything knowing the sense of urgency we had to have tonight to win on the road and keep some life in the series, get home-court advantage back and try to create some momentum our way,” Curry said.

The fifth game of the series will be played on Monday night.
