Intangibles make so much of a difference between you being successful or not – Steph Curry gives advice to budding players

Steph Curry has had a glorious career so far as he has ticked all the right boxes. However, just like any other athlete, Curry also started from the bottom and rose through the ranks by working hard on his game. In fact, Curry did struggle a bit early on in his career as a youngster as he didn’t get many Division I offers.

Curry then went on to join Davidson and hogged the limelight with his impressive play. The talisman showed early signs that he was made for great things, which he has achieved.

Meanwhile, Curry is also known to host Curry Camp in order to give opportunities to young talent. While talking to Sports photographer and journalist Caleb Hanna, Curry advised the youngsters to be confident in their approach to get the best out of themselves at an early age.

He said in an interview, “Be you. Be obsessed in the things that you can control and that’s like all the intangibles of being a great leader, great teammate. Consistent effort every night, finding ways to be your best even on the days that you either you’re not playing well (or) you don’t feel like it.

“You know the talent will continue to rise but those intangibles make so much of a difference between you being successful or not, so be obsessed in those details.”

On the other hand, Steph Curry played an instrumental role in taking Golden State Warriors to glory in the previous season of the NBA.

Curry averaged 25.5 points, 6.3 assists, and 5.2 rebounds per game. He shot 43.7% from the field, including 38.0% from beyond the arc in the regular season.

The talisman took his game to another level as he averaged 31.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 2.0 steal while shooting 48.2% overall in the NBA Finals as he was at his best. Ergo, he bagged the Finals MVP award for the first time in his glorious career.
