Golden State Warriors had a stellar run in the recently-concluded NBA 2021-22 season as they were able to go all the way. The Dubs defeated Boston Celtics by 4-2 to clinch the series after beating the opposition by 103-90 at TD Garden.
Steph Curry played an instrumental role in the success of his team as he was magnificent throughout the season. The talisman was also awarded Finals MVP for the first time in his career and this was his fourth NBA championship.
Curry averaged 31.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.0 steal while shooting 48.2% overall in the NBA Finals as he was at his best.
Baron Davis, a former Golden State Warriors player heaped praise on Curry and said he is a legend amongst legends, he is a pioneer and a juggernaut in this season.
On SiriusXM NBA Radio, the former All-Star Baron Davis said: “They keep going up. You think about the young guys they have, [Jonathan] Kuminga, [James] Wiseman, [Moses] Moody, [Jordan] Poole is young, [Kevon] Looney is still pretty young. They have a good surplus of talent. They’re gonna get better in free agency.
“Steph Curry is a legend amongst legends, he’s a pioneer, and a juggernaut in this game. I just think that they play basketball in a way and a style that makes you [opponents] conform to their style, and if you play their style of basketball you’re gonna lose.”
Meanwhile, Curry is regarded as one of the best shooters in the game and the 34-year-old has had a glorious career. Curry was at his best and he was able to get the best out of Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson to lead the Dubs to their fourth title in the last eight years.
