NBA Analyst Jalen Rose feels Lakers superstar LeBron James is the embodiment of positionless basketball

LeBron James is a name of longevity, courage, determination and indomitable spirit of winning accolades. Even in his 20th year in the NBA, LeBron is looking to give his everything to help the Los Angeles Lakers get to the playoffs but for now it seems difficult with the team struggling to put up any challenge defense since Anthony Davis’ injury. Overall the Lakers have been majorly underwhelming this season and despite seeing the flaws the front office has not brought in reinforcements.

Some people even feel that thisis misuse of LeBron’s exceptional form and numbers as he is surely in the wrong team. Former NBA star and current analyst Jalen Rose feels that LeBron James is doing everything in his power to help the team win matches and is also looking to guide them towards the playoffs but it is getting tougher out there with the team struggling defensively.

The NBA is fast evolving and positionless basketball has been the new thing and Rose feels LeBron James is a pioneer of positionless basketball as he has played in multiple positions over the years and yet his impact remains the same mainly due to his exceptionally strong all round game.

“The power, the strength, the ferocity of LeBron James to continue to attack… You’re also seeing him be embodiment of position-less basketball,” Rose said.

Rose highlights how LeBron often keeps switching his positions and sometimes he is on the perimeter, sometimes he is guarded or on the interior but overall it does not matter as he finds the basket anyhow. So over the years his dominance has only increased.

“Look at those lineups that he’s playing with in a lot of situations. Just give him the ball and allow him to operate. It don’t matter if he’s being guarded by a perimeter player, an interior player, it doesn’t matter if he’s driving to the basket. LeBron James has been so very dominant,” Rose explained.

Rose is concerned with the Lakers and them making it to the playoffs as it will be very bad for LeBron who is giving it his all at this age with so much intensity and in returjn if he does not get to play the post season then it will be a pity for the NBA and its fans.

“For him to still be so very dominant, effective and efficient at this point of his career, it just begs for me to hope the Lakers can find a way to stay out of the play-in, so we could get LeBron, at least, in the sixth seed. We need this man in the playoffs!”

The Lakers recently won against the Houston Rockets 140-132 courtesy of a mammoth LeBron James performance as he scored 48 points, eight rebounds and nine assists. The Lakers currently are 13th in the Western Conference with a 20-24 record. Hence nothing but a miracle can propel them back into the playoffs spot, for now even a play-in spot looks tough.
